Fathers-Only

Dear Dad of NYPS pupil,

Welcome to NYDC – the Nanyang Dads Club!   NYDC is  conceived in 2010 in support of the nationwide Dads-for-Life fathering movement spearheaded by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS).

Our aim is to provide a platform for fathers to participate more actively in their children’s lives, be more involved in school activities, learn and exchange ideas with fellow fathers, and spend more quality time with their children.

Membership is open to ALL FATHERS of existing pupils of NYPS – and it’s FREE (membership of PTA is not required).  To join us, simply email the following details to nanyangdadsclub@gmail.com:

  • Your Full Name
  • email
  • Mobile Phone No
  • Your Child’s Name and Class

We are still in the formative stage and welcome anyone who would like to be part of the ‘core group’ to help shape the direction of the club and organise activities.  If you are keen to be involved as one of the ‘founding fathers,’ simply indicate in your email to us.

So, come join us on a journey to be a better father. Let’s  make a difference in our children’s lives together by participating in their school lives in meaningful ways.

Fatherly yours,

Kenny Toh

COMMENTS FROM ONE OF OUR NANYANG DADS …

Once again, thank you for your kind efforts in putting together the above event for me and my son, Toh Er Jin.  Through this event, I have become more aware of my son’s behaviour and thinking during a school activity.  This allows me to understand him better, and thus smoothen my communication with him.

This is especially important for me when I am based overseas most of the time.

Would sincerely appreciate if you could continue to keep me in the loop of any such events in the future, and I would try my best to attend with him again.

Thank you again for your time and efforts!

Regards,
Chin Hon
